Ronald H. Miller > Biographical Sketch

Ron Miller, a native of St. Louis, earned degrees in philosophy and theology at St. Louis University.  A scholarship from the German government enabled him to study at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau, after which he went to Northwestern University where he focused on Jewish-Christian relations for his doctoral work in Comparative Religions.  He began his career at Lake Forest College in 1974, teaching in the religion department.  He served as Dean of Students for several years and then returned to chair the religion department.  His recent publications include: The Gospel of Thomas: A Guide for Spiritual Practice (2004); The Hidden Gospel of Matthew (2004); and The Spiritual Writings of Paul (2007).
