Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships
This scholarship recognizes transfer students who hold current membership in Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society of two-year colleges.
Amount: Scholarships are valued at half-tuition. Unlike other scholarships, Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships increase in future years, when tuition increases. If you receive this scholarship, you are ineligible for other academic scholarships from the College, but may apply for one talent scholarship. Scholarships are offered at the time of admission, and may not be added after you have begun your enrollment.

Transfer Students - June 15
Application Requirements:
1. Submit the application for admission
2. Indicate Phi Theta Kappa membership on the application
3. An Associate of Arts degree or 59 semester hours of transferable credit must be earned from an accredited community or junior college prior to enrolling at Lake Forest College. All coursework must be completed with grades of C- or better for scholarship eligibility.
There is no application form for this scholarship.
Renewal Requirements:
Recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 for scholarship renewal. The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is renewable for one year only.
Scholarships increase in value as tuition increases.
Please be aware that if you receive a financial aid announcement or estimate of eligibility that includes a Lake Forest Grant, and at a later time you become eligible for a scholarship from the College, the new scholarship will reduce or replace the grant.
