Habitat for Humanity
The goal of our campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity is to spread the name of Habitat for Humanity and everything that it stands for. We want to strive to help the fight against poverty and provide decent housing for those in need by joining with the Lake County district of Habitat for Humanity to build homes in our county.

Since this chapter is currently in its first year of existence here at Lake Forest, we have many possibilities to make our goals become reality. We plan to first spread our name and mission at events through information booths, which will also provide opportunities for people to make donations. We also have started a letter writing campaign for friends and family to donate to our chapter so that further fundraising can start. This fundraiser is also open to all. If you would like to get involved, please contact us via email or phone.
Furthermore, we will be joining with the local high schools and middle schools during Advocacy Week to make presentations on the mission of Habitat as well as other organizations that work everyday to fight poverty. These presentations will include general knowledge on the effects of poverty on our communities as well as the individuals that it directly effects. We intend to educate youth in order that they make be inspired to get involved as well.
